Linking back to the question (without sounding repetitive)

Key steps (method)

  • End each paragraph with a 1-sentence link back to the exact wording of the question.
  • Use variety:
    • This reinforces the idea that…
    • Therefore, Shakespeare/Priestley suggests…
    • This supports the view that…
  • Link to your thesis/judgement (not just the paragraph point).

Common mistakes

  • Forgetting to link back at all (paragraphs feel disconnected).
  • Copying the question word-for-word every time.
  • Linking back vaguely (“This shows the theme”).
